CrossFit to us is about getting healthy and fit, having fun and building community.

We have every type of CrossFitter here, from people who train once or twice a week, to those who train 5 times a week, in order to be there absolute best to compete in the sport side of CrossFit.

In CrossFit the idea is simple

Use your own body, or weights and occasionally machines to create

Constantly Varied ( always different ) workouts that use

Functional Movements ( the way you move your body or things in the real world ) at High Intensity ( Hard )

This means you do not get bored of the same old routine, your body doesn't get used to the same workouts, so you do not really hit plateaus like you can in more routine based training.

We at CrossFit DHM believe we have one of the strongest communities around, we not only love to train together, we also love getting out  and about together outside of the gym, this takes the form of anything from social nights out, to park running to Holidays together.

If you'd like to try out CrossFit for yourself and find out why we think we have the best community fill in the Free Trial form by clicking on the link we'd like you to come to the Friday night 6pm session if possible, it's a Team WOD ( Workout of the Day ) it's always fun and you will get more opportunity to meet the members.

World Class Fitness in 100 Words......

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
